1. No Refunds on Evaluation Fees
When you purchase an evaluation from Uptick Trader LLC, you pay a one-time fee in exchange for immediate access to our evaluation program. Once payment has been processed, the fee is earned by Uptick Trader and is not refundable, regardless of:
- Whether you pass or fail the evaluation;
- Whether you place any trades on the evaluation account;
- Whether you change your mind about participating;
- Whether your strategy underperforms;
- Whether you breach a rule before completing the evaluation;
- Whether the evaluation rules or pricing change after your purchase;
- Any other reason except as expressly required by applicable law.
2. No Refunds on Add-On Purchases
Optional purchases such as profit-split upgrades, reset add-ons (if offered), or other paid features are also non-refundable once purchased.
3. Why We Have This Policy
From the moment you purchase an evaluation:
- We provision a simulated account in your name immediately;
- You gain full access to our trading platform and infrastructure;
- Our operational costs (platform infrastructure, market data, support, transaction processing) are incurred regardless of your actual usage.
This policy is consistent with how every major proprietary trading firm structures its evaluation services.
4. Limited Exceptions
We may, at our sole discretion, refund a fee in the following narrow circumstances:
- Duplicate charges: If our payment processor mistakenly charges you twice for the same evaluation, we will refund the duplicate.
- Fraudulent transactions: If your payment method was used without your authorization and you provide evidence of fraud, we will work with our payment processor to resolve the issue.
- Required by law: Where consumer protection law in your jurisdiction grants you a refund right we cannot contract around.
To request consideration under these exceptions, email support@upticktrader.com with your account email, transaction ID, and a description of the issue.
5. Chargebacks
Initiating a chargeback for an authorized transaction is not the same as requesting a refund. If you initiate a chargeback:
- Your accounts will be immediately suspended;
- Any pending payouts will be forfeited;
- We will dispute the chargeback with evidence of the transaction and our refund policy;
- You may be responsible for chargeback fees and our administrative costs.
If you believe you are entitled to a refund, please contact us first at support@upticktrader.com. We may not agree, but you will have a clearer outcome than starting a payment dispute.
